St. Peter's Quilting Group

The St. Peter's quilting group was started in 2003 with the purpose of putting our love of quilting to good use in order to raise funds for special projects at our church.  Participants in the group are at all levels of sewing skills, from beginner to "quilting for years".  It has been a wonderful opportunity for us to grow together as a community and in friendship.

Our first quilt, "Straits of Georgia", was made in Fall colors, using scraps of donated cottons.  The proceeds of this raffle were used to purchase a new Advent Wreath stand and a Paschal candle holder.  This year's quilt, "Pieced Star" is done in varying shades of blue.  Raffle tickets will be available through the summer months and the quilt will be displayed in the foyer of St. Peter Church.
